On May 5, 2013, in the 36th round of the Premier League, Chelsea played away against Manchester United. In the 87th minute of the game, Oscar assisted Mata to score. Chelsea won 1-0 away from home. This was also the last time the Blues defeated the Red Devils away from home in the Premier League.

Interestingly, Mata joined Manchester United in the winter window of the 2013-14 season and played for Old Trafford for 8 years.
