Previously, Anthony said in an interview: “Now I see criticism from former players of the club and other media figures. They express their opinions unreasonably and affect many fans, sometimes even when I am not playing football. That’s true too. But I’ve never seen them give me constructive criticism that helped me become a better professional.”
On his personal social media, Scholes retweeted Anthony’s interview about reports of outside criticism of him, with the text: “Run back and forth as fast as you can, please score and create goals, I wish you good luck tonight ,my friend.”
