Replicate Real Madrid operation! GOAL: Chelsea offers 16-year-old Brazilian teenager €40 million to join in 2025

According to Goal.com, Chelsea is eyeing 16-year-old Palmeiras youngster Esteban William, and the transfer fee may reach 40 million euros.

Goal.com reports that Chelsea have started negotiations with Palmeiras to sign 16-year-old attacking midfielder Esteban Willian. Negotiations are ongoing and Chelsea will pay around €40 million – including a fixed transfer fee and bonuses.

The young player, who was born in April 2007, will not turn 18 until 2025, which means that the transfer will not be completed until July of that year, when Esteban William will reach adulthood and be able to move to another country. Chelsea’s idea is to replicate what Real Madrid did with Endrick.

In April 2023, William, who had just turned 16, signed his first professional contract. The termination fee for foreign teams was 45 million euros. Palmeiras owned 70% of the economic rights and the players owned 30%.

The fixed amount Palmeiras are negotiating is €20 million, which will be paid in installments until Willian officially lands at Stamford Bridge. The other 20 million euros are bonuses, which will fluctuate according to the goals set in the contract.
