Neymar Pele’s home club is relegated! Brazilian giants Santos are relegated from Brazil! First time in 112 years!

In the last round of the Brazilian League, the traditional giant Santos lost 1-2 to Fortales, ranking 17th in the Brazilian League, and was relegated for the first time in 112 years!

This season, Santos has 11 wins, 10 draws, 17 losses and 43 points, ranking 17th (fourth from last) in Brazil and unfortunately relegated. (There are 20 teams in total in Brazil, and there are 4 relegation places)

Santos Futebol Clube is a football club from the seaport city of Santos, Sao Paulo State, Brazil. It was founded on April 14, 1912 by three football enthusiasts living in Santos, Marquis, Dikinbos and Junior. The team won the São Paulo Provincial League Championship for the first time in 1935, and repeated its old dream 20 years later in 1955. “Ball King” Pele joined Santos in 1956 at the age of 15 and led the team to win the Intercontinental Cup twice in 1962 and 1963.
