Arsenal official: Saka reaches 200 game milestone for Gunners, youngest player since Cesc Fabregas

Saka started the match between Arsenal and Luton. Arsenal’s official website posted that this was his 200th appearance on behalf of the club.

Arsenal’s official website wrote:

Saka made his debut five years ago on 29 November 2018 against Volskla Poltava and he went on to become a key member of our team, scoring in his first 199 games Scored 46 goals and contributed 47 assists.

Of the previous 199 games, 148 were from the Premier League, 25 from the Europa League and 5 from the Champions League. He also played in 10 FA Cup games, 9 League Cup games and 2 Community Shield games.

In these 199 games, Saka started a total of 172 times and came on as a substitute 27 times.

Saka is only 22 years and 91 days old in this game against Luton, making him the second youngest English player to reach the 200-game milestone in team history after Cliff Bastin (22 years and 16 days old), and also the second youngest player since 2008. The youngest player to reach 200 games since Cesc Fabregas (21 years and 118 days old) in 2011.
